Dreadful team performance. No energy or desire

Button - 6 - one very good save, could do nothing about the goal. Poor distribution.
Bong - 3 - cannot play as a wing back
Schellotto - 4 - greyhound? More like a headless chicken
Balogun - 4 - looked disinterested. Some dreadful touches
Duffy - 6 - MOTM solid and our biggest goal threat
Webster - 5 - defended okay but Duffy far better on the ball
Alzate - 5 - typical busy performance but gave away the free kick for the goal
Stephens - 4 - dreadful but marked up for displaying the passion that so many of them lacked
Bissouma - 3 - one decent run, then constantly lost the ball and gave away fouls. Deservedly subbed (again)
Gross - 4 - anonymous
Maupay - 5 - busy, another one who showed desire

Connolly - 4 - greedy again. Get your bloody head up
Jahanbakhsh - 6 - more vision than anyone else on the pitch
Bernardo - 5 - only on because Bong was so poor

Lots of people wanted a strong side and no kids. At least the kids have something to play for. Schelloto, Bong and Balogun have checked out it seems

Terrible attitude in the warm-up that I also noticed before the Sheffield Utd game.

Some players thought they were too big for this.

Bissouma was the worst culprit with Stephens next.

Bong is pointless as a wingback, you know nothing positive is coming from him in the final third.

Webster's game has become littered with mistakes.

Maupay and Connolly, especially when they play together, are far too greedy.

Gross has become anonymous.

Duffy and Button only two to come out of the game with any credit.

Really surprised more players weren't rested and the kids given a chance.

I've been slightly more critical.

Button 5- Made one good save but he seems to have a negative effect on the whole defence because of the way he panics and hoofs it out of the ground whenever the ball comes near him.

Balogun 2- As convincing at right back as he is at centre back. Get rid ASAP.

Duffy 5- Didn't do as badly as some but still made sloppy mistakes. Missed a big chance from a corner as well.

Webster 3- He didn't seem convinced in anything he did. His distribution was awful at times and that's the one thing he is meant to be good at. Getting very worried by his recent performances.

Bong 1- Lost count of the amount of times he killed attacking moves with crap passes/crosses and gave away free kicks. Not even Championship standard, get rid ASAP.

Schelotto 2- Ran around like a headless chicken. Most of what he did was crap. Get rid ASAP.

Bissouma- 0- Absolutely appalling performance. Should be fined a week's wages and sent to train with the kids.

Stephens 0- Everything he touched turned to shit. As above.

Groß 3- Game totally passed him by.

Alzate 3- As above.

Maupay 5- Wins my MotM purely because he actually tried. Still could have done better with the chances he did have.

Everybody 3, except Webster 2, Stephens 1 and Bissouma 1.

Button 6 - Didn't do much wrong, just not as comfortable in possession.
Bong 3 - Unlikely to feature the way Potter wants to play, simply does not have the attributes.
Schellotto 3 - As above.
Balogun 5 - Semi reprieve as he hasn't any minutes for god knows how long.
Duffy 6(MotM) - Our biggest goal threat.
Webster 5 - If he's not making a call to Ali J then it's criminal, free header if he leaves it.
Alzate 4 - Too many touches, needs to learn when to play simple passes. Poor free kick to concede.
Stephens 4 - Poor captain's performance.
Bissouma 2 - Woeful, just didn't seem to care.
Gross 4 - Only noticed him on the pitch when we had a set piece.
Maupay 6 - Worked hard, can't believe we risked him for the whole slog.

Connolly 1 - Came on, jogged around with no desire to close down whilst our main striker who had already been on for the first half does the legwork. Blinkers on again with a glorious chance, that or greedy. Atrocious.
Jahanbakhsh 6 - If he receives a call from Webster then it cost us. Otherwise good.

Only button maupay jahan get any score above 3 maybe include Duffy but it says a lot. Think most others won't be playing a premier league game so soon

Azate 5 Average should make himself available in attacking positions

Maupay Fair but no support and Connelly is never going to give him ball

It’s so easy to be critical of players performances, but at least get their names right! Or it makes you look as bad as them...

Dunk didn't play. It's Connolly. Theres an L in Alzate. Not to mention a few other name mistakes
Really poor effort.

Button 5 - good keeping but awful with his feet

Bong 4 - decent defensively in the first half but can't pass, cross or dribble. Not good enough at this level.
Duffy 5 - Too many small mistakes though some good interceptions as well.
Webster 6 - didn't **** up much but some very poor passing
Balogun 5 - did nothing and the little he did wasn't good
Schelotto 4 - ok first half but God the man is slow.. And doesn't realise it

Alzate 6 - did ok but you expect more against this type of opposition
Stephens 5 - not as poor as some say but not good either
Bissouma 1 - give me one single reason why he should get a higher rating

Maupay 5 - hard work but simply lost the battle against a good Sheffield defence
Gross 7 - had a good game but is not the man who can do it all by himself

Connolly 4 - crap
Bernardo 5 - made his best Bong impression
Ali J 6 - looked lively again though nothing special

Schellotto - 4 - won't have pushed his case to start with that performance
Balogun - 4 - on his way?
Duffy - 7 - Easily our best player
Webster - 5 - not his greatest game but not absolutely awful
Alzate - 5 - as above
Stephens - 3 - started positvely and then.....then.....oh Dale

Bissouma - 3 - ran around to very little effect
Gross - 4 - showed why we need Trossard and Mooy
Maupay - 4 - bullied

Connolly - 4 - bullied
Jahanbakhsh - 5 - he's not the Messiah, he's just not a very naughty boy any more
Bernardo - 5 - the kindest thing one can say is that he was better than Bong.

Button 6 - didn't do a lot and didn't do a lot wrong. One great first half save.

Bong 4 - not a wing back. Set up a couple of dangerous moves first half but that was it.
Duffy 6 - Solid, but not as good in the air today as he can be
Webster 5 - inconsistent game, i wonder if he's more of a midfielder than defender?
Balogun 5 - played out of his natural position in my opinion. Not great.
Schelotto 5 - Tried hard and ran his socks off but lacked quality

Alzate 7 - not so good first half, but stand-out player second half and tried to make things happen
Stephens 5 - had a reasonable first half, not so second.
Bissouma 3 - Awful game, misplaced pass after pass and picked wrong option constantly.

Maupay 5 - worked hard as usual but not much change out of a mean defence. Should have squared instead of shot first half.
Gross 5 - struggled to find his role in the team today i think.

Subs

Connolly 3 - not sure what has happened to him over the last few weeks, seems to be very low on confidence, no impact on the game at all.
Bernardo 5 - slightly better than Bong
Ali J 6 - tried another overhead and generally tried to get things going. Promising signs.
