Just been listening to this new, live offering.

Beautiful voices, and a lovely 'Magpie' from Detectorists.

Some may call it melancholic and depressing, some find the tone relaxing and refreshing.

The new Nils Frahm offering, Empty gives a beautiful, sparse and reflective backdrop to the current shenanigans.

Released for Piano Day, 'AVE IT.

Yves Tumor’s new long player is out now. Heaven to a Tortured Mind builds on his previous album and after two listens I’m sure it will feature in end of year lists.

There’s a real depth and breadth and chaos to his songs but underpinning everything is a really talented song writer with an ear for a melody imho.

Laura Marling's new record out 10 April.

Poptastically brilliant news mate.

Keep on keeping this thread alive
Courtesy of your two most recent posts on it, I can listen to Nils and Laura on Spotify (a fairly recent platform for me), and then will pop down to Resident to buy them when that's possible

This and Moses Boyd are my albums of the year so far.

Just did a hilly 5 miles on the bike indoors, listening to the new Rumer - Nashville Tears.

The velvet voiced belle sings the songs of Hugh Prestwood. Country music, very gentle and inoffensive.

Made the bike ride easier.

I love The Strokes.

Their first two albums were brilliant, obviously, and hugely and widely appreciated.

Albums 3 and 4...the backlash started, and many people slagged them off. I loved both of these albums.

When the fifth album came along, I, sadly, joined the ranks of those who thought they had had their day. They were finished. It was awful.

So, imagine my delight on hearing their sixth album (The New Abnormal), released about a week ago, to find it is an absolute belter! Love it! Casablancas' voice has never sounded better, and there are some absolute bangers on the album. If you once liked The Strokes, give it a listen. Or even if you never liked The Strokes.

Looking like CASIsDead will finally be dropping his debut album in 2020.

If you’re even slightly in to Hip-Hop then this should be the best news you’ll see all year. If you’re in to 80s style synth pop then this should be on your radar too. In fact Cas should be on everyone’s radar.

Went out for a drive today, played this new offering from the brilliant Khruangbin with the volume up, was absolutely delightful in this weather with the wind in the hair.

Might need to turn the bass down a tad, the mix is very high and made the doors vibrate!
