Love this report of the home game v West Ham from Tim Carder's superb 'Albion and the First World War' book. The old Goldstone north stand giving the ref some grief (deserved, by the sounds of it - didn't even consult the lino!). The final sentence puts VAR in its place, too - it's the 'uncertainty' that makes the game what it is, and that includes crap refereeing decisions.
