BRIGHTON are ready to splash the cash with a double January signing.

The Seagulls have their eye on CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov, as well as Tottenham’s back-up right-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

Russian youngster Chalov was the subject of a failed bid from Crystal Palace this summer, and the Eagles could now be beaten to the punch by their rivals.

I thought palace was finely going to have a good striker when they was chasing this guy. So it's a big yes from me if any truth to it.

Are we allowed to 'show interest' if there is no Wag-age ?

I'm sure someone will be along soon to remind us of the rules

5ft 11 would make him more of an Andone replacement than a Murray replacement. I do wonder if we will send Connolly on loan to a team at the top end of the Championship as he hasn't quite done it since the Spurs game. Could probably do with a bit more senior football before the rigours of the PL again.

I am ignoring this thread, much too exciting and I can’t take the disappointment when we don’t strengthen that well. What a team we’d have.

Agreed.

How many headed goals did that Ruski get in his showreel . . . None was it?

Potter likes a young tall striker, McBurnie was used to great effect at Swansea.

Let’s go Ukraine!

Step forward Roman.

Age: 24
All round skill: Excellent with ability to play left or right wing.
Speed: Good
Movement: Potter will like this.
Strength: Of course
Height: 6”2
Power: Clearly.
Can he score headed goals? You bet!
Where can we buy him? The Belgiums.
Is he cheap? He is in our range. £15m - £20m should do it.

Seems like a promising player. Bit of a gamble, but signings like this always will be. He is a good age however and has international pedigree already so will have great resale value whatever happens.

Sign him up Tony.
