Bus driver told me it was because of roadworks.

Driver yesterday told my wife it was only through January. Did not say why.

I would have said it was because the university is closed for christmas, so there shouldn't be anyone on campus to require going through it. It may be that roadworks were tied in to this time to cause least disruption?
