We must play our best eleven here, tightest defence and most attacking attack. My only qualm was right back - with a four both Montoya and Schelotto are risks. If only Bruno were....no, no, stop that now.

No idea which team that Potter will pick, but this is a key game, and I'd like to see the following line-up. I'm keen that 14 players are used to their maximum potential. Stephens misses out to enable the Bissouma-Propper CM axis to flourish. Gross hasn't been up to much of late, especially in open play and, for me, Mooy's set pieces are of a similar standard. I'd rather not start both Connolly and Maupay as this enables one to come off the bench (Murray doesn't cut it for me any more). Trossard is so much better coming off the bench. Burn has done tremendously well, but he is one of the weakest of our regular starters, and I just prefer Bernardo; Duffy deserves to start, and I think Webster is better in a back three. Mooy and Alzate have the quick passing range to open things up, and Alzate is good at carrying the ball too. All of this presupposes that Dunk is available.

All dead balls though isn’t it? I agree it’s a risk because of that and his dead ball delivery is superb but he’s contributed nothing in open play for weeks. He looks really off the pace of the game.
