Shoreham Airshow Tribute

Words can’t really do justice to how well the club conducted itself after the tragedy at Shoreham. Albion played out a 1-0 win over Hull but the game is remembered for the scenes before it, with a lovely TOGETHER tribute on the pitch and in the stands.

QPR Away 2-1 2016/17

‘And it’s absolute bedlam behind the goal’ What a night in the capital as goals from Murray and a sublime free kick from Sébastien Pocognoli gave us all three points in a vital win away at Loftus Road on our march to the AMEX. For many this was the final step and promotion to the Premier League looked certain.

Burnley @ Home with 9 men 2011/12

Oh so close to the great escape, Albion had Romain Vincelot and Ashley Barnes sent off in the opening 11 minutes – but still pushed Burnley all the way. A Kieran Trippier goal was enough to condemn us to defeat, but that wasn’t before a CMS last gasp chance was cleared off the line. The AMEX crowd was resolute and produced a marvellous display.

Spurs Friendly @ Amex

Our first friendly game at the AMEX on a wonderful summers day in July 2011 with Tottenham Hotspur being the visitors. The sun shone and the brass band played in what was fantastic occasion at our brand new home.

The opening game V Spurs. I know my current seat wasn't even built then but why was the Amex not full? Lots of empty seats for what must have been a huge event. I was in the SW corner.
Also, the singer of GOSBTS. Sang the 'old' words. Who was he?

Only 75% of the stadium was allowed to be open that day, as a test for the health and safety certificate
