Merry Christmas to you, your family and all of NSC. A day for the traditionalists among us as we roll back the years to play on Christmas Day.

Please remember you can vote a maximum of twice to see your favourites progress to the last 16.

Day Two of Albion’s moment of the decade sees us take on Groups C & D. So let’s start with the former:

C

Walsall Away 3-1 League One Champions

Goals from Inigo Calderon, Glenn Murray and a wonderful strike from Elliott Bennett sealed the League One title with games to spare in the 2010/11 season. The last we have played in the third tier. An away pitch invasion ensued in the West Midlands before the players and Gus Poyet led celebrations in front of 3,000 travelling Albion fans.

Man United 1-0 @ Home 2017/18.

In front on 30,611 at The Amex, Albion best second place Manchester United 1-0 through a goal like technology assisted Pascal Gross goal. An amazing atmosphere cascaded around the stadium as we secured a second season in England’s top flight by beating its most successful side managed by Jose Mourinho.

Last Game at Withdean v Huddersfield

30th April 2011 was our last game at Withdean, watched by 8,416. Gully’s Girls held a homemade banner in the air, and Withdean looked its finest in the spring sun as we walked out as Champions via a guard of honour from Huddersfield.
The game itself was manic, with the visitors scoring a late winner to keep their promotion hopes alive. For us, it was a celebration of the twelve years we spent at our temporary home. I for one still have the fantastic commemorative programme ...

MK Dons Away 2015/16

Cheered on by over 7,000 away fans, Albion climbed into the Championship automatic promotion places with a 2-1 win away at MK Dons. It looked as though the points would be shared when Milton Keynes were awarded an injury time penalty. Dramatically this was missed, sending the away fans and players into delight.
