Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Alternatively it might prove he has a point, if the Chinese are so touchy about it.

I hope Arsenal are okay with that. They should be. It's been proved beyond doubt what they doing to that people. Ozil is entitled to have his say.

He is 100% right and its fantastic that he is speaking about it.

That said, I think Kroenke would like to strangle him. He keeps being very, very expensive..

Arsenal are more concerned about revenue than the plight of the Uighurs. They immediately sought to distance themselves from the tweet, stating they're an apolitical organisation. Interestingly, they weren't worried about Bellerin's "**** Boris" tweet last week.

Why 'Alternatively'? ??? He patently HAS a point. Highly interesting and massively important clash though between a player's right to express their personal opinion and a club's scrambling about to protect their commercial interests.

Ozil comes across as someone with a social conscience, It's not a surprise he has commented on the treatment of the Uighur Muslims. China have previous in Tibet along the same lines and the current Hong Kong uprisings have only avoided being brutally crushed by the fact that Hong Kong is very westernised with lots of social media and foreign visitors.

Fair play to Ozil, but it has cost his club a couple of hundred thousand quid.

Ozil is right about this but before we start to hold him up as highly principled let's not forget that Erdogan was best man at his wedding in June.

Something similar happened in the NBA when Lebron James spoke in support of the hong kong protestors.

Arsenal probably relieved that this shit show has been pulled today, they won't sell many shirts in Shanghai on this performance.
