Dieppe v Lens in the French Cup 12.45 ko

a bit like Newhaven playing Newcastle

although that's probably a little unkind on Lens
who have won the French league as recently as 1998

Dieppe - I expect they have wingers who float about, midfielders who can ferry the ball and strikers who are busy in the channels.

It's actually recycled. I first used it some years ago before our friendly with Le Havre.

I’d go Spennymoor Vs Sunderland for the comparison.

You’re looking at North East rivals here. Lens/Lille reminds me of Sunderland/Newcastle. Lens are the makems as their city is industrial, dull and working class.

it's live on Eurosport 2 (France)

so there will be a stream

clashes with the Liverpool-Everton game though

probably try and watch both (misses permitting of course)
