Now Chelsea are able to sign players I wonder if it might be worth us continuing the chase for him now? Would be a challenger for Montoya and I’d think he would suit potterball very nicely

I am not saying that we should be interested in him but there is talk of him going back to a French club or even to Italy. The only other person they may sell is Danny Drinkwater who hasnt pulled up any trees on loan at Burnley.

To be fair, I still think that his was the best centre forward display I have seen at the Amex when Arsenal tore us apart and he scored a couple and was outstanding,

He is still only just 33 and a capable goal scorer and the only thing stopping another Premier transfer appears to be his wage demands. It is rumoured that both Marseilles, I think it was, and Inter Milan are interested in signing him in January.

I have never suggested he was at a reputed £120k per week although it was said Palace were interested in signing him but I think they balked at his wages.
