Albion U-18s enter the prestigious FA Youth Cup tonight when they entertain Leicester City at the People's Pension Stadium. Albion have already beaten the Foxes this season (2-0 at home in the U-18 Premier League South back in August) but this will be a tough test, for sure. Albion's unbeaten start to the season finally came to an end last weekend when they lost 2-1 at home to Southampton.

Clubs always play their strongest line-ups in this competition which is why it was a bit of a surprise to see Haydon Roberts and Ted Jenks start for the U-21s against Newport County on Tuesday. One youngster who is bound to feature is central midfielder Jack Spong who has just signed his first professional contract with the club:-

If you wish to know a little more about some of the youngsters who will feature, you could give this thread a butchers - Albion 1st-year scholars for 2019-20

The question is - will the club stream the match? I remain hopeful, if not expectant. We probably won't find out either way until minutes before kick-off, such is the Albion way.

The Spong, Bong and Yappi line up was something special. Looks a good prospect. He followed up that debut with a very assured U23 performance, although he still has some work to do on his spelling.

Don't think from memory we tend to get streams from games at Crawley, but happy to be corrected on this.

The West Ham match for the U-23s in the Premier League International Cup was streamed from there just 9 days ago.

Newly signed professional Jack Spong captains the side this evening; Teddy Jenks starts despite playing the 90 minutes against Newport County on Tuesday. Haydon Roberts misses out altogether but Albion are otherwise at full strength:-

Rocco played for Worthing in the FA Cup qualifying rounds this season. I assume the FA Youth Cup is classed as a different competition altogether hence he is not cup tied.

Is anyone at the game this evening?

If so, any chance you could post the teamsheet, if there is one?

I like the sound of Turns, that's going to make for some confusing commentary

Only caught the second half but very impressive. Lots of quick slick pass and move football, and solid at the back, apart from the penalties of course.

First time I've seen the u18s this season and seriously impressed (missed the two penalties against though). Free flowing attacking play at pace was good to see

Albion now face an even tougher task in the 4th round, having to travel to Derby County (who beat Everton in the 3rd round, who Albion lost to in the competition last season).

It will be the 3rd time the Rams and the Seagulls will have faced each other in the competition in the last six seasons.

Hopefully the tie will be played at Pride Park.
