The standard thread asking for pub recommendations for this Saturday. The Arkles looks like the nearest pub but likely to get so mobbed you can't get a drink. Was recommended The Winchester a 15 minute walk from the ground.

Bold Street and Lark Lane are amazing but if you need to go near the ground then The Elm Tree is pretty great. As desolate as it gets but about £2 a drink and loads of space. Think it had pool tables and jukeboxes. Like something out of Trainspotting but without the violent undertones

went in the Arkles in our first season in PL, it was pretty busy so just bought myself 3 pints and settled down to consume them. It cleared out (mainly of home fans) about 14:00 and so was less packed. good atmosphere in there and got bought a pint by some posh scousers...

Well the locals haven't lost at home yet this season. That might be why they are so passive.
