Hake for dinner this evening, lovely, but cod, haddock, bass, swordfish, toooooner, all lovely

On its own it has to be smoked haddock with just bread and butter but if served with chips either floured or in batter it is Skate (Wray)

Not so keen on the Spiny little fish that, contrary to the laws fluid dynamics, swims up your japs eye if you take a pish in the river in South America

To catch, Chub in freshwater, Bass in UK seas and Dorado overseas. Two of them are nice to eat, but not as nice as a monkfish curry.
Sea Bass ... succulent perfection.
Smoked Salmon, and Haddock in batter, are very nice too.

It would be easier to say what I don't like ; mackerel unless smoked, eel, mullet or any freshwater fish.
My absolute faves depending on how they are cooked, are Dover and lemon sole, skate, bass, monkfish, halibut and huss. I bloody love fish.
