Don't know what channel that was, but I was watching something on Sky recently and it was similar - gone all American. Like you I just record and fast forward. I'm not watching ads.

Sorry, but what am I missing here? It's a horrible message. Don't be an individual or you'll be shunned by society and not invited to the town party. Oh, but we'll be having some of your Christmas pudding, thank you very much. The dragon should have locked the doors and burnt everyone to a horrible crisp Carrie-style. Well.... I thought it was rubbish, but I watched it on my phone.
I usually like all this seasonal mush but this didn’t ring my Xmas bells..
