Come someone explain this one to me?

They have had one of the worst starts to the their campaign in years, have a mess of a team. Poor manager and poorly coached. Individually they are not that great and are playing a lot of fixtures at the moment, including one on Thursday.

In addition to this they have 8 points from 5 home games so not much to hold on to there either.

Yet......

Ladbrokes have a utd win at 4/7 and a Brighton win at a massive 5/1!!

I don't expect us to win but what am I missing here?

I get it but the numbers don't stack up for me.

I'm loving this season and think we've been great. No reason we can't get even better though.

The odds are a combination of how likely each event is and how much money is placed on each event. The odds in this case are probably reflecting the relative amounts of money placed (or expected to be placed) on each event more so than the actual chance.

Why complain? Those are great odds, slap a tenner on it and if we win. Quids in. We lose, well, the bookies were right.

5/1 is the worst price on the market, BTW - plenty of 11/2 about and some 6/1 in places too.

Have we ever won there and how many top half teams have we beaten away since we got promoted? All very well having a team that play good football but we’ll we’ll remain underdogs until we actually win some away games against decent teams, even ones that are in shit form.
