Glimpses of . . . Brighton. To be honest it was pretty naff. Man with cine camera, a bit about showing Preston Rock Garden, buses, trolley buses, buses, a bit of the sea front with the Palace Pier, buses, more buses, the Royal Pavilion, buses, a trolley bus, buses all around Old Steine. Um, that’s it, oh, it was in colour. The roads were empty of traffic, there were no beggars, not a tent to be seen, no graffiti, no one pissed lying in the gutter, and the bins had been emptied. Halcyon days eh?
