I wouldn’t normally advocate this but if Jahanbasksh is called up by Iran for the upcoming internationals he should stay at home. His fight for his place is his fight for his top level career and this last injury, coming at a time where he would have had a genuine opportunity to stake a first team place was a disaster for him. If he can get on the pitch now and impress he can wipe the slate clean of what has come before.
If he can’t get on the pitch in the coming weeks, when will he? We’ve got Trossard coming back soon. Izquierdo at some stage. It’s not totally inconceivable that we recall Andone or recruit in January. Alzate and Connolly are improving all the time, both making a strong case for selection.
If he doesn’t impress in the first team in October or November, he never will.

Could put March there, move Gross up alongside Connolly and put Mooy in next to Stephens. That wouldn't look too bad.

This but if Propper is fit I’d switch March to LWB and push Gross forward, Alzate moves to the bench. P.S. Bong would be nowhere near my 18.
