I'll be pleased if March is back and up for it too. Having a loping 6ft 7 wingback is a little uncommon, and for all Burn's nomadic moments of skill as a centre-half, i'd rather have a nippy player to fulfil such a role.

Aside from any injuries sustained in internationals there are currently three who are still unavailable through injury:

Izquierdo
Trossard
Pröpper

Trossard is due back now isn't he ?

Cant wait for him to play again.

Looks something special him

Yes, and the rest of the players seem to be much more comfortable with the style now, so Trossard should shine in I the team even more.

After the international break was cited as the return date about 6 weeks ago.

However, injury recovery isn’t an exact science. So out of the three possibilities ….

1) He starts
2) He’s on the bench
3) He’s not on the bench

… none would surprise me

There is an argument to be had that even if he’s fully fit and raring to go, it would be pretty difficult to choose who to drop after the Spurs performance. But as Potter is rotating so heavily and playing a different formation every game, maybe we should stop viewing it in terms of players being dropped.

In any case I’m giving up on the predict the line ups thread

Is there any OFFICIAL and recent news on ANY of the injured players? I gather Duffy is OK as he played at the weekend?

I think we'll have to wait for the press conference on Friday

Club have been very cagey on this and we've been repeating the "back after the international break" line with no further update. I'm concerned he might still be out for a while yet. Hope I'm wrong. Such an exciting player.

Anyone with access to the pre-match press conference feel free to correct / update; this is based upon the headline that only Bernardo and Izzy are unavailable. So, by a process of elimination - everyone else is available.

That doesn't factor in whether Duffy / Connolly might be knackered after playing a couple of games of Non-League football in the last week.

No. We'll be holding you personally responsible if Trossard isn't tearing the Villa up on Saturday
