Sadly this says a lot about how the game has gone, when a game is measured by the number of goals. That's why those who run the game haven't realised that letting the biggest clubs get ever more powerful, and the divide in the game ever greater has created a dull, uneven spectacle. They just see man City and Liverpool spanking 4s and 5s past teams and think that's top entertainment.

The media always big up the Merseyside derby for weeks on end and it normally turns out to be boring, the games at Goodison in particular.
Unfortunately, due to our turn of form since the new year, we have gone down the pecking order.
