I know there’s a separate gig thread but equally there’s a lot of Hopkins fans on this site so felt it worthy of its own thread. Here’s details of a rather special tour he’s doing next year. He is playing The Dome.

I have to say, even by the brilliant standard of this series of records, that Hopkins is one of the best.

He’s quite a talent. So modest as well. I have seen him three times live and enjoyed every show immensely.

By the way, if anyone wants an introduction his last album Singularity is as good a place to start. It’s a piece he envisaged a decade or so ago but never had the means or the complete technical knowledge and experience to realise it exactly how he wanted until recently.

Managed to get front row seats....yikes. How did everyone else get on? I understand Brighton is nearing sell out.

Only heard about it thanks to this thread, got myself a ticket in the rear stalls - Row W (so guessing it must be near selling out).

I saw Jon Hopkins a few years back with King Creosote at St Georges Church in Kemptown it was fantastic and he had a baby grand piano, he is such a talent.

Off to see A Whinged Victory for the Sullen tonight at the same venue tonight and hoping it will be as good, with Daniel Wohl supporting it should be an immense evening, cannot wait.
