Will GP change formation against Burnley, I dont think he will,so assuming Trossard is out would go with:

Ryan
Duffy...Dunk...Burns.
Montoya...Stephens..Propper..Mooy...March
Gross
Murray
Subs; Button,Webster, Bernardo Connolly Jahakanbahsh, Maupay, Bissouma

Not read the whole thread but ... this would be a change of formation ?

3-4-3 is what we are playing

Not 3-5-1-1

Is Big Yves available for selection? And little Tross out? ???

Tiny
Montoya, Dunk, Burn
Ali J, Gross, Stephens, Propper, March
Maupay, Muzza

That's a good team, but I think;

Button
Duffy Webster Bernardo
Montoya Gross Stephens Burn
Jahanbakhsh Connolly Murray

If we're going to go full mental, how about this?!

Our best keeper left out.
Our best centre back left out.
Our best centre midfielder left out.
A centre back out wide.
Our slowest player on the wing.

And yet Jahanabksh starting is STILL the MOST ridiculous selection

I'm not saying three at the back is daft, its suicidal. Dropped points against both West Ham and Southampton because of it.

Ryan
Webster Duffy Dunk Bong
Bissouma PrΓΆpper Bernardo
Groß Maupay March

Button, Burn, Stephens, Mooy, Connolly, Alzate, Murray

You have to be on a windup surely?

1) Why is three at the back daft? If anything it has led to us playing better football.
2) The team you've picked there is absolutely criminal. Bong? Why? Bernardo in a midfield three? Webster as right back over Montoya? Bissouma to start after a long layoff? :ffsparr:

FWIW I think it'll be this, assuming Trossard is injured:

Ryan
Duffy Dunk Burn
Montoya Stephens Propper March
Groß Murray Maupay

Subs: Button, Webster, Bernardo, Connolly, Mooy, Biss, AJ

I think Duffy, despite playing during the international break, may be better suited for Burnley's style of play.

Connolly to come off the bench in the second half.

Ok!!

I stand corrected!!

It isn't YOU that I was correcting - it was Graham flippin Potter. In both the Bristol Rovers game and when Connolly came on at Man City, he's put Connolly down the middle with Murray out wide.

Which seems daft - Murray is too slow to be effective out wide, and Connolly has looked excellent in exactly that position, in the two Ireland games this week.

You only need to look at who made the post, I don't think he understands football at all.

Maybe the idea is for Murray to win headers from a deeper position to feed Connolly to get in behind and;
