Hmm yes, it seems as though he's far from an automatic choice for the u23s. I wonder if this is a "get him in a shop window" type loan

Forgot he was still here.
Needs a chance somewhere because we seem to have moved on to another level since he's been a youngster here.

Ciderspace reporting that James Tilley may be on his way on loan to Yeovil Town.
Hopefully he'll enjoy the experience.

I'm sure there's someone out there who enjoys Yeovil Town, but I'm yet to meet them.

My impression too. Hopefully it's a loan with an option to buy - I hope the lad gets to have a career in football and makes a decent living, but I don't think he has a future with us.

Agree with this :)

Not a fan of apples then :)

Has to have a chance somewhere, he deserves it :)

It's hard to get used to having all these players out on loan, since the academy has prospered :)

Hardly surprising as he's been out on loan playing first team football, for Cork City, for the last 9 months.
I did think a bit strange when he went there, as I cannot remember other offers for him, at the time:)

Oi! I was stationed there for three years, had a great time. Granted a lot of alcohol was involved ....... yeah get you’re point. Yeovil and sober doesn’t sound great.

Not too many l don't think. Whenever I used to see highlights of their games on the Football League Show there seemed to be not too many more fans than the colloquial one man and his dog in attendance at Huish Park.

As far as James Tilley is concerned it must have been a few seasons ago now that he made ther bench for the first team in a game at Middlesbro. He really does seem to have slipped down the pecking order since then.

Rather than starting another thread, George Cox has gone to Holland on loan, Fortuna Sittard, and Max Sanders to AFC Wimbledon.

haha I was on that coach. Me and one other had to be picked up by Harty in the back of a police car before the coach would leave.

I use to enjoy Yeovil town...use to go to a few of their games.
My dad use to live in henstridge and my step brothers use to annoy the shit out of me, so decided to go watch Yeovil play one afternoon... rest is history.

I became ‘that fan’ that had a 2nd team, had a Yeovil top and everything...even got on the pitch at huish park when they beat Sheffield United in the playoff semi 2nd leg

Pointless story

Sounds like Cox has done the best out of all of them. Dutch top league!

Cheers  - already on the official loanee thread though. Cox apparently on a loan with an option to buy.

Well as a left back, and with Bernardo and Gaetan Bong ahead of him in the pecking order, also of course with Potter currently preferring the three at the back formation, it will be nigh on impossible for him to grab a first team berth in the forseeable future l guess, so a permanent move does seem to be the best option for him.
