Anything more than 150 for the Aussies in their 2nd innings should be enough.

What's the least runs in an Ashes test match ever? This might beat it.

Would be interesting to know, but it's proving very difficult to google. It keeps giving me lowest individual innings totals, but can't find any stats like lowest combined totals for a test

This partnership needs to be broken early or thats the ashes gone, not that I can see us even chasing 250 or so.

And another wicket... this is a crazy test match

14.1 Woakes to Khawaja, OUT, tempts him with a full one, Roy snags the catch!

UT Khawaja c Roy b Woakes 23 (38b 4x4 0x6)

52-3, lead 164

The ECB has a big problem and has had it for a number of years now.
Most of their income comes from Test cricket - especially the Ashes
Most counties income derives from the T20.
So counties major on white ball and so the ECB organise the T20 for mid summer whilst red ball is relegated to spring and autumn. So red ball cricketers cannot play against decent opposition in the summer. So the ECB have to pick white ball specialists to play red ball in the Ashes. And pay the counties money from Test cricket to try and develop young talent in red ball. But red ball isn’t played in the summer. So the ECB need another revenue stream. The white ball 100. But that isn’t developing red ball, and will possibly also alienate the counties T20 teams. So counties may have less revenue and depend even more on the ECB. Whose revenue will fall if the Test squad keeps failing. But there are no red ball cricketers coming through.

There’s a hole in my bucket.

I'll watch the highlights on channel 4 and see if I can hear it ?
Ps I did go to a T20 at Hove a few years back spent most of my time at the bar .....hic
Oh and the Sussex /Hampshire final at Lord's, got a bit lively after the game had finished for some reason

BBC :

Why not give Australia the Ashes now and cancel the last 2 tests. The England players could go back to county cricket and learn how to bat.
