For the best selection of cheese and some great local ones try The Cheese Hut at the Cheese Man on Hove Lagoon.
Mate of mine runs it, also him and the entire family are all Albion fans and season ticket holders

Yes this is definitely a favourite. Good selection and my cheese addict daughter approves of it

I also would go there at Christmas for a splurge on a cheese selection and truffle honey. Sad it's gone but I guess many other customers frequented the same way I did.

Sad to hear the cheese shop on Western Road has closed down. I no means went there often, but special occasions and Xmas I used to pop in to be £50 lighter but full up from cheese tasting and a bag full of fromage delights. Tough market when people are counting the pennies I guess.

Interestingly, I need a search of NSC to see if it had been posted before, and one of the threads that came up was "funny names for womens parts"...???

Bit gutted it has closed. Like yourself was only an occasional visitor but they did sell a particular French cheese I really like that isn't generally available in supermarkets. Oh well!

Shame. The place on Kensington Gardens is also good but doesn't have as big a selection.

Hard cheese.

as 10cc say, not in hove
Feel sorry for the staff but it was hugely overpriced. Mentioned above re Flower Marie and Burwash Rose, both fabulous Sussex cheeses and vastly inflated. The French cheeses even more overpriced, was always going to happen sadly

There’s a monthly cheese club franchise in Yorkshire called Homage to Fromage. It’s looking to expand. This could be a big opportunity for all you cheese lovers to set up your own franchise locally: the equivalent of a cheese lovers Tupperware or Ann Summers party ( well, may be not the latter).
