Ryan - 7 - a couple of decent saves but didn’t have much to do
Montoya - 8 - looks transformed, constantly bombing on
March - 6 - brilliant first half but targeted second half and didn’t look comfortable. Got away with one when caught trying to see the ball out
Duffy - 8 - solid and adventurous
Dunk - 9 - pass of the weekend surely? 91.5% passing accuracy! MOTM
Burn - 9 - Potter has created a marauding beast
Stephens - 7 - excellent first half including a part in the first. Thought he made a very silly, needless tackle that if mistimed would have seen red
Propper - 8 - great cross for the second
Locadia - 6 - gave it everything but looked a little short on quality
Murray - 6 - a very Murray performance. Battled but little came off for him personally
Gross - 7 - proved the doubters wrong

Andone - 7 - great finish. Looked well up for it
Maupay- 7 - quiet until his goal. Brilliantly taken
Bernardo - n/a

Wow. What a performance. Remember, 13 of the 14 who featured played under Hughton last season!

Agree with most of this. would give Montoya a 9 as he seemed to win everything but would mark Murray and Gross a 5. AI think they both struggled due to lack of pace

Going by radio commentary / BBC website, Gross’s name cropped up so many times on the creative side. Was he better than a 6?

Just got in, not watched any highlights so raw scores :

Ryan - 7.5, did everything he had to do
Duffy - 7 - distribution a bit wayward but unbeatable in the air
Dunk - 9 - outstanding
Burn - 9.5 - outstandinger. MOTM for me.
Montoya - 8 - better WB then FB
March - 7.5 - solid, caught out once
Stephens - 9 - very, very good
Gross - 7.5 - solid
Propper - 8.5 - almost as good as Stephens
Locadia - 8 - lots of intelligent play, and good strength
Murray - 7.5 - did Ok but......

Maupay/Andone - 8 - pace up front. Brilliant. And goals.
Bernardo - N/A

Potter - 11 - just wow. Getting a tune like that out of the lads in his first game ? Incredible. Fabulous double sub up front to completely throw Watford. Wrong thread maybe but CH wouldn’t have done that in a million years. I’ll admit to a bit of a groan when I saw Gross and Murray starting, but different game when they’re not isolated. Defensive shape looked excellent despite the lack of shackles.

Very, very encouraging performance.

Someone said that they thought the commentator mistook him for propper. That would seem likely

The commentary here was in Arabic so a little hard to tell. That being said, Gross is still our dead ball specialist and I really admire him for that

What a happy, positive post, no holding back on praise where due, NOT looking for negatives in any player’s performance.

What was the atmosphere like amongst the large away following? It looked immense from afar, reminiscent of the promotion season away trips.

Pretty good, could hear a loud (and full) rendition of GOSBTS on the stream.
