Rest in peace, Underhill. A ground with real character and that slope! The chairman's done the dirty on them and sold the ground for a soulless Hive stadium seven miles away, virtually halving turnouts.

Some good visits there in the late nineties - usually a 1-0 win. The Nigerian illegal immigrant. I can't even begin to spell his name!

Forgot to add that to my list.

Realistically it was the council that ****ed them. Underhill was given a reprieve by the FA to buy time for Barnet to develop Copthall (where Saracens play) but the council chose Saracens over the football team as they’d rather be associated to Rugby as a sport.

A ground share wasn’t on the cards due to the 3G pitch and Underhill required huge investment and planning permission which wasn’t granted by aforementioned council so they had to move.

I really wish I'd taken a camera to these fantastic old grounds. My favourite was Highfield Road. Why oh why did Cov move out ???

For me, ALL of those previously mentioned, plus:
more recent - Springfield Park
older - Somerton Park and Old Show Ground
(name the teams, you young'uns)
I never got to Park Avenue.

By the way, the floodlight pylons are still up at Millmoor!

Re Millmoor understand clubs former owner’s son uses it to play games with his mates Sunday league team.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
It looks nothing like it used to be, and the club is a re-formed club as the old Halifax went out of business.

Agreed it has been updated/upgraded/rebuilt but the ground still exists unlike most of the others mentioned. The thread title is 'Stadiums that no longer exist, so I also discount White Hart Lane and Wembley also (although I did claim it just to brag that 'I was there') :)

That's why I mentioned the Shay. I can remember there being about 50 of us at one time, standing on a concrete terrace and a shed to our left. Those were the days.
