Do the contingent still lamenting CH's departure honestly think we would have been able to bring the same players in had he stayed?

Webster referenced the new gaffer directly, Maupay hasn't in the initial interview but the clean slate and progressive ideals must have held weight for these players.

They certainly seem to be at least people that Potter wants, which has got to be good.

Bloom is clearly backing Potter with £60m+ so far.

Trossard wouldn't. Webster would've. Maupay maube, I'm not sure. Though we know he rejected us whilst CH was manger, it would be unfounded to say that was the reason why

Realistically the only consideration is the level being played and the pounds in the pay cheque. Whether or not we’d have been interested in the players we have brought in under Potter is probably a more pertinent question.

I’ve only just realised GP is Graham Potter and Gus Poyet. Bet Barber factored that saving on shirt initials somewhere.

What a ridiculous thread. Hughton is a hugely respected man and coach throughout the game and can’t imagine any player would’ve had a problem signing for him if the right funds were available.

Would Taylor Richards have been convinced to sign under CH?

It's not all about the funds.

Mad isn't it.
Pretty sure all our signings would have joined under Hughton. Just as Ireland international Duffy did, Netherlands international Propper did etc etc.
Cheap shot IMHO.

I was as vocal as most about the failings of Hughton last year, but to suggest Championship players wouldn't have joined us had he been in charge is absolutely ludicrous and totally disrespectful.

Never been in the anti-CH brigade but it's exciting to see new signings credit the new manager as an influencing factor so soon.
