How anyone can say one bad day cost England this match? We had them 120-8 on the first day and let them get to a score that kept them in the game, we were 280 odd for 4 when batting and lost 6 wickets for less than hundred, yesterday we bowled terribly and let the game get away from us, today we’ve batted like idiots.
Aside from the first 2 hours it’s been a calamity of a test match

Was Anderson fully fit to start with?
Root is a great batsman but I’m not sure about as a test captain.
Bairstow is not a test match player.
Ali needs dropping to help him, another match like this might destroy the bloke. Lyon showing England what SHOULD have happened yesterday.

This with bells on. Only 2 maybe 3 of our batsmen have the mentality required to BUILD an innings. Smith does not take to the pitch and swish 6’s. He is annoyingly patient. Too many of ours do not cherish their wicket, they only know how to play limited over.

It’s infuriating that Smith etc more than likely cheated against England and we haven’t benefited from the ban.
