he looks quiet good, gets forward and passes the ball forward more than last season's number 6

We look ok......Brum look woeful.....now watch Birmingham City 5 good guys 2. No really good workout so far but I cannot see any Premier League side giving that much space to our sluggish side. (But who knows)

That was like somebody opened the window in a dust filled room , totally unrecognisable football from virtually the same team as last season , i'm no bothered who we're playing or what standard they are it was just good to watch .

Ist Half impressions IMHO we looked a lot more attack minded with 3 at the back and Montoya and March as wing backs but not 100% convinced as Brum had a couple of chances to score and better finishing and we would be level. Stephens and Propper were able to play and get further forward and this allowed the front 3 to look impressive. Locadia and Murray linked up and Trossard looks an upgrade on Knockhaert. All in all a good half but against better opposition I think that we may get caught out at the back as I am not sure Burn is the answer in a back 3.

It looks like we're trying to attack and score goals, and we have . . . Playing 3 Navvies at the back, we'll need to.

Enjoying seeing some variation.

You'll have missed how Stockdale played for Fulham for 6 years...his research somehow omitting his significant career with us.

What a dunce he is.

The bit about there not being much of a crowd, as all the workers from the Birmingham car factory are away on holiday, was up there with the stupidest commentary words ever uttered.

Those pesky little number tens and inside forwards crammed in the better teams squads are going to LOVE moving our big boys around at the back. Enjoy the feast!

Very positive first half. Moving the ball well. Midfield is combative with good technique. We look solid in defence. Locadia & Murray look dangerous. We've beaten the press multiple times. Trossard looks quality, as does Burn. We're a bit sloppy at times but that's to be expected. Looking forward to the second half.

Actually, I have decided there is one more thing I have taken so far and that is that there is still a place for Murray if needed. This new system plays to his strengths and he isn't a 35 year old leading the line with 20 yards to the next players. He has supporting players in and around that he can bring into play and use his clever runs to mask his lack of pace. Not saying we don't need a new striker as we obviously do but Murray with clever players like Trossard, March and Locadia around him is a different animal from the isolated Murray of last season.

Can maybe also see why Knocky was let go as although he technically gifted enough to get involved in this swift interplay, he may be a little bit too selfish for Potter's liking. Guess we'll never know but there may be something in this theory.

Very impressed by big burn and Locadia!

Yes agreed that is a real positive. Jurgen, whatever posters say on here is a baller, Big burn looks good on the ball. Is it just me or do the opposition look like midgets against US?

I bet he'd be brilliant against teams at the bottom of the Championship, yeah.

I didn't mean he looked good compared to Birmingham's players. I mean he looks a lot better than many players who helped us to finish 17th in the Premier League.

Jurgen is a great finisher.- feed the Jurg!
He's looking really hungry, focussed, fit. He'll be an asset this season.
