A blast from the past, but who remembers "Jacko" from Brush Strokes.

Often spot Karl Howman down at Stonebridge Road these days.

Oi! You can't have him as a 'most famous fan' - he doesn't qualify.

Most of us know who he is .....................................

By all means make another suggestion.

£15m for Paul Gascoigne when he was 28. Blimey.

And I'm not sure he was still "Soccer's Golden Boy" by then.

Not to mention all those people who bleat on about "soccer" being a word only the Amercian's use. They're conspicuous by their absence.

And he doesn't seem to have the necessary physical attributes ………………

……….. not that I am too bothered by that..... from an objectivising females point of view.

Esmonde who co wrote Brush Strokes and The Good Life used to be a neighbour of mine. He was a larger than life character who was always good for a laugh.

He also wrote Mulberry which is an area of Goring/Ferring.

Sadly deceased having retired to Southern Spain

I bloody loved Brush Strokes.

Remember finishing my finals at uni and thinking I’d go on the lash that night.

I was so knackered I finished up sitting in my room on my own watching Jacko trying make his latest conquest...

No Sanders, Baluta or Alzate - or Connelly for that matter, all rested. Odds shortening for at least one of them to be at least on the bench at Watford?

Still my gut feeling (based on no knowledge at all) that Connelly at least will go out on loan, but could it be that one or more of our young midfielders (or auxiliary RB) features higher up in Potter's plans than some of the 'nowhere near League 1 standard yet' doubters think?

Hopefully, as there's no point in having an academy, if we're not going to use the end results
