Setting out his agenda on the steps of No.10... interesting times indeed.

VERY eloquent, whatever you think of him.

Impressive speech.

No chance of following it through though.

Sounds like May tbh.

Load of unrealistic rubbish and soundbites that mean nothing.
I don't even want to watch it. I'd like to see if I can just ignore politics until this whole sorry mess is over, and then tune back in when we have someone decent running the country. Sadly I guess that means after both this term and the next.

Great speech Mr Johnson. Shame I'm struggling to believe it.

All he ever does is say whatever he thinks people want to hear, toss out an amusing soundbite or two, lob in a few long words and a bit of latin, a bit of bluff and bluster, a quick ruffle of the hair, and PRESTO ! The toffs duley fall over themselves to install him as our nations leader because he's such a CHARACTER.

Unfortunately for us, whatever he comes out with invariably carries all the weight and substance of a half-baked soufflé. When he actually arrives in a room full of grown up european politicians and attempts his usual schtick with them, he'll be laughed out of the joint quicker than you can say "whiff whaff waffle". Then there'll be no deal. Then there'll be a vote of no confidence. Then there'll be a General Election, he'll be out before Christmas and we'll be left with...

...well. Who knows what. By this time next year the UK will probably resemble the set of Mad Max, and we'll all be crouched round camp fires in the woods eating random gunk from tins with no labels.

He's a creation of the circumstances. Look how politics has lost the majority of people's belief.

Blair was the worst kind of political animal, followed by Thatcher. Think 'people' are sick of being fed the same manure and give rise to Boris, Donald etc ..

I agree with you up to the point of failing & a general election. What he may do is offer a pact with the Brexit company & get into bed with Nigel Farage as Deputy Prime Minister.
Then the fireworks will start.

Aren't mods supposed to be politically impartial on here rather than promoting this elitist Bullingdon scumbag?

That's a bit unfair. 'Interesting times' is a Chinese term that is often used as code for 'we are now officially in the shit'.
