They talk about the top six ...so just to pass the time away (just three weeks away)...who is in your bottom six excluding the teams who up until last season were considered the top six

Of the 14 teams you've got there I split them into 3 groups for the bottom six.

Probables. Us , the 3 promoted clubs, Newcastle
Possibles, Burnley, Southampton, Bournemouth, Watford, Palace
Unlikely Wolves, Leicester, Everton, West Ham

Reassuring to look at the potential bottom six and see that there are quite a few candidates this season. Possibly more than there were this time last year.

New season optimism up one point.

Well as things stand, but this doesn't count for anything before the season has even kicked off, but I've gone, in no particular order, for two of the promoted clubs Norwich & Sheefield United, plus Burnley, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and ourselves.

Gone for two of the three promoted teams. I imagine exactly like fans of other Premier League clubs the year we got promoted.

Bet WBA, Swansea and Stoke didn’t see what was coming

Surprised to see Villa (who sneaked in via play-offs) are rated higher than Norwich and the Blades, who were top three pretty much all season

Perceived big team syndrome. In truth they should favourites to go down as they have have to rebuild a squad.

Villa have spent some serious money on new signings though in a bid to help them beat the drop. Not necessarily a route to success l know, as that is brecisely what Fulham did twelve short months ago.

They have spent money but, as Fulham found out, wholesale changes disturb the balance of the team. When we got promoted, we put three new players in (Groß, Pröpper and Ryan) our regular team, just a tweak. I'm not sure that a complete overhaul is the way to go

Or we finish bottom by some margin if Tony’s big gamble goes wrong.
