Like myself those that remember the tasty aways are all over the hill now. Would be a load of old men going for it
Well the last visit to any of those grounds was Lincoln in 2017 - and that is pretty much what went on, except it was Albion lads in late 20's exchanging pleasantries with the Lincoln olduns. Best away day of that season for me despite the result.

I hate to admit it but after 50 years, I've always felt that us doing well means championship (div 2 in proper money). Div 1(div 3 in proper money) was always our place when I was a kid. If it meant an U23 based team competing at the top end with Bruno as manager and TB in charge?

We did better after Colin Calderwood left than before. Villa didn't do so well with Calderwood there, in fact they did better when he left to become manager at Cambridge.

This sounds good in theory, but, knowing that the crowd will be less, we will find that some parts of the ground will be closed, and thus the queues in the bars will not necessarily be shorter. Also, given the resultant lowering of income, we might find that the present railway shuttle from brighton to lewes and the enhanced service (yes, I know . . ) might well be a thing of the past, as the club would want to save the fee. I assume you will want Tony Bloom to continue incurring losses, or perhaps you are happy to pay extra (for a lower standard of football) to help him out. Yes, I see your last para but playing in league 1 will not be as rosey as it sounds.

I think the financial gap between Premier clubs and those outside of it will continue to grow and, as a consequence, it will become increasingly difficult to get (back) in to the Premier and stay there. So having struggled to get there I’d prefer to stay there, but relegation wouldn’t be a disaster to those of us who’ve supported the club for years. It’s our club and we will always support it regardless of what division we’re in. As others have already said there are some things about the lower divisions that we miss, including that it was nice to start each season thinking you have a chance of winning the league!.........and maybe I could bring my flask again and park in Bennett’s field.

I was around for the last slide from the top division to the very bottom. It was very painful. Once a slide sets in it is very difficult to stop and turnaround. Further the football in Division One is nowhere near as good as the Premier League and will only be acceptable if the team wins and wins well.
On a further point it seems that TB expects the team to be above the bottom 3 and playing attractively. If this is not achieved by Christmas expect GP to be moved on. There is plenty of money about and coaches come and go until the right fit is found.

Annoying, but we’ve spent the majority of our existence in Div 3 (League 1), so would still be attending...
Perhaps less away games as they are mostly to northern.
