Decent victory for the youngsters today, coming from 2-0 down to beat Reading U-18s 3-2. A first goal for the club by Jack Leahy with others by second year scholars Stefan Vukoje and Lorent Tolaj. Todd Miller (the winger we signed from Colchester United) made his competitive debut in an Albion shirt as a substitute.
Another excellent result for the U-18s on Saturday, winning 3-2 away at Spurs. We top the early U-18 Premier League South table (albeit only alphabetically from Chelsea, but the cream will always rise to the top). Two goals from Tolaj and another from Vukoje - they have netted 5 between them in two matches.

If you include last season, the U-18s have now won 11 of their last 12 league matches - pretty remarkable stuff.

Which is why you are my favourite poster on NSC. Accurate and up to date Albion facts, unadorned, and succinctly put. Use that as your next strapline

Did anything happen with this (oh fountain of all things Brighton youth)?
I don't know. His instagram profile (incidentally, he has more followers than Anthony Knockaert) stated until a couple of weeks ago "Footballer at ........." with the name of the European club he was at. Then he removed the club's name, and now it doesn't say that phrase at all. That would suggest he is in the process of moving to a new club, but which one, I have no idea. We will know for sure when the PL squad list gets published at the start of September.

In the meantime......here is a pic of him just for you (as no-one else on here seems bothered), walking out for the U-18s for their friendly at Ipswich back in July (he is the lad just to the right of centre, with the dyed hair):-

He is a 2nd year (or at least would be if he hadn't already signed a professional contract) but this thread seems the most appropriate place to record the fact that midfielder Marc Leonard has been called up for the Scottish U-19 squad for two warm-up matches against Japan in Pinatar, Spain during the next international break:-

As always top knowledge, be interesting to know what happens. Good to see the u-18s doing really well.
      Hello and thank you

      Oscar Garcia -
The fans' support today was magnificent in the face of a bad result. I am very proud to be the coach of their club.

That squad doesn't say much for Celtic's
      academy!

That's a little confusing.... Jamie Hamilton, Hamilton Academical academy

AZ - Is Danny Cashman now too old for the Under 18s?
Thanks Robbie - one day we'll name a stand after you.
