With all these alcoholic threads that appear every Fridat.
It reminds me of my days, when one could go for a sociable drink in a real pub and not worry about a damn thing.
When based in Oxfordshire, I often frequented the King William, commonly known as the King Billy.
Great memories, especially on a summers afternoon, quaffing the local brew

Used to be the Montpellier Inn, my local back in the day, loved it, spent many special days with friends there - And then the landlord moved on and it went to crap. Bridge Inn Shoreham, my nearly local until recently, what a lovely place to sit outside.

Y Llew Coch, Dinas Mawddwy, my new local - A bit League of Gentlemen when you first arrive but when you get to know people...

Merry Harriers, Hambledon,Godalming,Surrey. 16th Century proper old english pub. Now part of the Peter de Savray empire but gets my vote. It's only 3 miles from my house as well!

The Spy Glass Overcombe, Weymouth. The view over Weymouth harbour is breathtaking. Now a harvester :-(

In that order .

I used to always look forward to popping in the Freemasons on Western Road in the early to mid 2000's when I lived up near the dials.
Had a great atmosphere, with an excellent male / female ratio!

Late 70's early 80's, Black Horse & Rainbow back bar in Lewes. Just knew everyone.
