I hate seeing keepers out of their area and am surprised we don't see more goals like this.

It was a terrific goal and no little skill was needed. Time and time again better players than Rooney miss from there.

Indeed most would miss, but I rarely see it even attempted. I don't believe that's because it's not worth the risk, often the alternative is just standard build-up play.
