Some assistance if possible, youngest has just graduated and looking to get into the recruitment industry. He has applied for several jobs locally and was not selected for one interview which was a graduate post and is waiting to hear on several other applications.

Anyone in the industry and could provide advice on best way forward or should he just keep looking and applying.

Is there a recruitment agency for recruitment jobs?

Any particular area/industry ? I work in banking and work with a number of agencies/headhunters. Route for many kids seems to be starting off with a bigger firm (in banking firms like Hays for example) to learn the ropes before specialising (even within banking/finance - either by sector or temp/perm etc). Not sure what the local scene is like - isn’t Commander in the field ?

I don't think he has a specialist area, just wants to get into the industry

My parter is director of recruitment agency. If he moves to Manchester I'm sure she'd give him a shot.

Very kind offer however he prefers to live locally

There are millions of recruitment companies, shouldn’t be too difficult. Recruiters often put internal jobs up on job sites / linkedin etc. He should be looking up all of the recruiters in Brighton and applying directly, they are almost always looking for grads as the turnover is pretty high.

I’ll interview him. Don’t care what his background is, don’t care what his degree is in or what grades he got, and don’t care what experience he has. If he can speak well, think quickly, is coachable and most importantly has a massive drive to succeed, then I’ll give him a job.

Yes, there are loads. And if you think your average recruitment companies are cowboys with no morals, you should try dealing with this lot.

I've not looked for a job for 15 years . . . . Have dipped my toe in recently. woah, it's enough to put you off work for life!

Seems like crap estate agents have taken over in my world.
