Would also like to add that I managed to post this within 5 mins of the original rumour tweet being posted, which is certainly a personal best...

Another winger? Sounds like they're not expecting Izzy back in a hurry

We know this already. Not before new year therefore hedge our bets buy a potential replacement and then see where we are in January with the 25 and Izzy is re fitness.

Like the look of him but as ever it’s a risk on a value basis with regards the quality of the league.

Sounds like he'll fit in.....

Amid all the euphoria in the 4th title, KRC Genk has had an unforgettable party night. Coach Philippe Clement took the lead in the hymns on Stadsplein. Later in the night the players went to the Versuz disco in Hasselt. There, captain Leandro Trossard heard a disbelief for which he now apologizes.

In the early hours and with the micro in hand, a tipsy Trossard let himself get carried away by the supporters chants around him: "All farmers are gay." The captain of Genk sang the phrase once. A video of it has surfaced.

Looks decent... Arsenal interest might make it a non starter.

My only worries are, spending £20m on a player from the Belgian league.. so are we going to have the whole “struggling to adapt” issues again. Also spending £20m on a winger when we need a RB, CB, CM and a striker.

The adaption thing, was that not just they way CH liked to operate? Maybe GP will see the potential and he will be a starter if we get him in early enough. If his good enough he should start.

Having a fit left winger will free Locadia from the shackles of having to fit into that role = new striker.

Just thankful it wasn't "All gays are farmers". Might be a struggle to integrate in Brighton if that was what he thinks.

Gladbach were apparently in pole position to sign him for €15m, which is what Genk have valued him at, about £13m so seems like a worthwhile risk.

-------------------

Premier League club Brighton & Hove pulls the sleeve of Leandro Trossard. The club of Mathew Ryan and José Izquierdo made a first bid at Racing Genk for Trossard earlier this week, but that was refused. Negotiations are ongoing today, and the English club is expected to make a second bid. Brighton & Hove managed to maintain its last season in the Premier League and finished two points above the relegation zone.

Trossard is one of the players of the national champion who can leave the club with the right bid. Racing Genk has a price of 20 million on the head of Trossard. The Red Devil was good for 22 goals and 11 assists in 47 games last season.

Seems the price has gone up....

Journalist now reporting that we hope to find a compromise today. Genk want €20M, which would be a club record
