As this is my first game (and enjoying it) do you get any fisticuffs (handbags) or even whole teams pushing & shoving each other, like in the men's game.
( and no, I was not going to mention, hair pulling and scratching)

Disappointing audience of 13,000 at the game, but then again it is a Sunday and Sunday dinners don’t cook themselves.

It is still less common than in the men’s game. But Germany versus China yesterday was fairly ill tempered with some nasty fouls and some pushing etc .
The media like to talk about the sporting nature of women’s football but having been watching this since the last women’s World Cup (my interest started when my daughter started to play competitive girls football) it is obvious that there is more aggression and some dark arts - which is I think a good thing.
