OK, do we now have the convention that England games get their own thread and all other games go on the Main WC thread?

England making a tentative start, Bairstow still hasn't scored, 8-0.

Bangladesh must have the longest national anthem in the world.

Lots of empty seats.

Can't believe the #100 will attract crowds there next season. Not that the ECB care, it's purely about TV. They'll give away thousands of tickets to schoolkids and claim marketing success.

Why have we dropped Moeen Ali? There's no pace in this pitch, it takes spin. Bangladesh open the bowling with a spinner and immediately put a brake on the openers.

Because his batting is utterly rubbish at the moment? Plus he is No.2 Spinner behind Rashid in any case.

With high ticket prices I reckon the ECB do care, as for ticket prices for The Ashes ridiculous.

Solid start so far, hopefully Bairstow will knock one off the square soon.

400 looks very possible at the moment, no spin no movement off the pitch or swing, basically help yourself everyone.

This is a pitch for 2 spinners.

Absolutely tonking along, 50 up for Bairstow no real chances given by the batsmen, 128-0 after 19 overs
