Wow. And we think we're too senstive and sensationalist in this country!

The chinese media said they 'acted like conquerors...' But rich considering the way they hold their country together in the western part of the country...

Saw this this morning and my first impression was how pathetic it all is as 'it's just a trophy'.

However, in a way it is a bit nice isn't it? They want the trophy to be respected along with the competition which has a nice sentiment behind it. We are just so far past that as a nation.

I'd personally prefer it if the Chinese would get outraged at the horrific and barbaric practice of stealing dogs in their 1000's and then proceeding to torture them, skin them, and then cook them alive all in the name of a Chinese festival, culture, and tradition.

Meopham, Kent.
The obsession with being outraged has reached new degrees of extremity here.

Just when you think it can't get worse.

I complained in a Chinese restaurant that the duck was very rubbery.
Thank you very much said the manager.
Unfortunately there is often a communication breakdown as is the case in the thread.
