So no one is offended by what professional curmudgeon Cleese had to say? Bugger.

Loved him in that recent Specsavers advert.

I should know!..... I'm descended from them.....It runs in the family. No Roman, Anglo Saxon, Danish, French or German in me. Just pure Ancient Tribe. We were here first before you Johnny Rotten Foreigners started coming over, raping and pillaging the men, chasing the women and diluting the blood.

Northern Welsh then!

As usual, everyone clamours to be outraged.

Exactly.

The usual crowd appear who just love to be offended, and no punishment can be great enough for someone that has "offended" them. The irony is that they are usually calling for tolerance, and damning intolerance, by being completely intolerant of absolutely everything anyone says..

London is full of wankers.

Edit: And to many of them have emigrated down here!

Same as it ever was if you’re up on your Brighton history.

The professionally offended and the chattering classes are falling in on the parade square, getting ready for a march past of the outraged.
Move along, nothing to see here.

I have just looked at John Cleese Twitter account, some people having a major meltdown over his comments. :)
I would need a weeks supply of Pringles to read them all though.

Yeah but the wankers you talk of came for the day and went home essentially.

Apart from the ones which they built the huge homes on the large squares for. And apart from all the others who then followed. My grandfather moved from London to Brighton after the war with many others also working on the railways for example.

PS I presume you were born in Brighton?

It’s an opinion, what’s to be outraged about?

Exactly this. If one disagrees with him, fine - just disagree.
I'm still sad that Danny Baker has been forced out of sight and will forever have "sent racist tweet" in every bio of him for a (I'm 100% sure) innocent, if stupid, mistake.

Sounds like something someone might comment on if they went to a foreign land only to get there and the native peoples culture has been replaced with that of another nations.

If you went to Nepal and when you got there it was all McDonalds, Starbucks and Apple shops i'd think you'd be a tad disappointed and think similar thoughts because you went there to experience the native people's culture.

Think you'll find that's true of a lot of capital cities.

If you want to experience elsewhere it's only a short trek.

I really don't see the issue. It's good to have 'international' cities in your own land.

That's the view of most folk. It's just John Cleese.

Yeah because it's always the same spammers, making the same pointless threads. About time these spammers had their post count reset.

I blocked the OP recently for being a dick. Now he's apparently being a different kind of dick. Who knew? ???

He'll be buying a sports car next.
