Bath, Somerset.
Cabaret Voltaire - 'James Brown 12" remix'
Kitchens of distinction - 'Come on now'
The Chefs - 'sad boy style'
Replicant - 'evergreen'
Andone - 'Zwei tote'

I have 3 iPods with over 16,000 tracks, on shuffle, one in the car, one for commuting and one spare just in case.

Used to love The Chefs - saw them live a few times in pubs in Brighton early 1980s (ditto the brilliant Birds With Ears).
Mate of mine ran the Attrix Records shop on Sidney Street.

The Chef's guitarist/singer, Carl, went to school with some people I knew in the late 70s. A very charming young man (he was about 17 then). I was a regular at the Alhambra, Buccanneer and Vault back in the great days of summer of 77. Attrix....I have some compilations. Girl Gets Nervous (Nicky and the Dots) came up on my iPod recently.

Player on shuffle again (after listening to brilliant new Cate Le Bon release among other things):

Smith N Hack - Space Warrior (from Simian Mobile Disco's FabricLive 41)
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Love Or Confusion (never tire of his stuff)
The Jesus Lizard - Panic in Cicero (a track tacked on to a CD reissue of Down)
Steve Earle & the Dukes (& Duchesses) - That All You Got? (good Cajun style defiant workout)
The Clientele - Dreams of Leaving (melancholy of course)

The Clientele - Dreams of Leaving (melancholy of course)

Always loved The Clientele. I remember this particular song coming up on my shuffle the day after an old university friend had committed suicide. I instantly teared up, and still find it hard to listen to without thinking of him to this day.
