Just read an article in Times today saying Spurs nett spend on transfers in last 10 years is just £15m. That is incredible and shows how to run a top club. Also how selling is just as important as buying. No wonder they could afford there new stadium

They should bring rules in to make this sort of thing compulsory - well done spurs tbf.

Our net spend would also look a lot healthier if Real Madrid gave us £85 million for one player. Looking at the last five years they have done very well to compete with the rest of the top six with a net spend hundreds of millions lower. However, it would seem that our first aim should be to rival Liverpool's feeder club who have maintained Premier League status whilst making a net transfer profit, not just because of last year's sale of VVD, but for three of the last five seasons. They didn't get a sell on clause in the Bale deal though.
