Overall average: 29,241
League average: 30,426 (19 games)
FA Cup average: 25,782 (2 games)
League Cup: 13,651 (1 game)

Yes, but does this mean that this season's average home league attendance is our best ever? My recollection is we have never crossed the 30K boundary previously. That was, er, my question, like. Innit.

Why is the Spurs average 54,216 when they've been playing at Wembley with 80,000 seats and all sold out?
That means, after away fans deducted, only 52,000 went to Wembley and yet the new ground is sold out at 57,000 (plus away) and a long waiting list.

Thanks but that wasn't the question I asked.

FFS, no wonder we can't sort out Brexit. We are a shitehouse ****about nation. Fact. :lolol:

Yes it is, if higher than the last two seasons at the Amex. However, it doesn't mean much these days as it is only a 'prettendance'. The 13th highest ranking is EPL only - I expect we were also beaten by Villa and Leeds. I think our highest attendance ranking overall is still 12th best supported club, set in the 1977/78 season in the old Division 2.

Because their home matches were restricted to a max attendance based on their new ground (I believe) capacity.

Yes we did, in our first season in the PL (2017/18), 30,000 and a bit. This season just gone 30,000 and a bit more. Mind you our promotion year (2016/17) wasn’t too shabby, just a couple short of 28,000.

Amazing when you think of the heady days at the Goldstone that the only time those numbers were matched was for a big cup tie, or when we were on the cusp of promotion, or when we played those charlies up the road.

I know the actual attendances are held somewhere.

The lowest league attendance in the AMEX era I recall was about 16,000 for a home match against Wigan Athletic in 2014.

Villa averaged 36k odd and Leeds 34k, both though failed to fill their grounds as Villa Park holds 42k and Elland Road 37k.

We can only ever average crowds as big as our ground, which I would say is the point we are at, give or take a few!
