Could he do a job for us?
Hmm, we've just binned a serial Championship promotion specialist, and you suggest replacing him with someone who has just failed to do what CH seems to be able to do with every club he goes to.

    It's a no from me.

      Yes, I read that somewhere.
I think he’s a good manager, but wonder whether we’d be in the same position in 12 months.

Sorry, what? Is this a joke?
Pochettino tells this rather strange story in his own book, co-authored with Guillem Balague, so it appears to be true. Very odd though.

Leeds faltered at the business end of the season, he changed the keeper and the replacement had a mare last night, his team pick up cards, defensively mediocre. This, coupled with his chequered past, suggest there are better options.

Leeds have played great football no doubt about that.... the fact he still uses an interpreter after a year worries me and would annoy me greatly

He must be getting his message across though, but as has been said we are looking for younger it seems
Time for some proper football, win lose or draw :-)

Is that just to the press? Pocchetino got the same criticism when he went to Southampton, but really he only wanted to speak to the press in English when he felt he was good enough so not to be mis-interpreted.
900k people in Bromley & Croydon, almost double pop of Manchester. Bigger than Norwich & Ipswich. Fickle fans in terms of attendance, cup games increased attendance do not help.

I'm surprised the nutters in charge at Leeds haven't already sacked him for failing to get promotion.

      From talk sport,

In 1985, Bielsa was working in youth development for Newell’s Old Boys when he visited the Pochettino family household in the town of Murphy, Sante Fe accompanied by his colleague, Jorge Griffa. Seemingly nothing strange about that, scouts normally visit potential player’s families before signing them.

However, this meeting was at 2am and the story goes that he asked Pochettino’s parents if he could see their 13-year-old sleeping son’s legs. “He looks like a footballer,” he declared, and they signed him on the spot. Bielsa had never seen the young Pochettino play.
