What is happening to our great city ! Now we have a hard line Marxist in charge of the Labour council ..How can any sane person ( Labour or Tory voters ) think that is a good idea !!

Do we have too many idealistic silly students living in our city or Communists ? What is it.

Clearly the OP knows next to nothing about Nancy Platts, and I don’t know that much more, but I do know a dyed in the wool conservative who has worked closely with many iterations of Brighton council. When local elections come he makes one mark next to Nancy Platts. He doesn’t bother with a second or third choice. He does this because in his reasonably expert opinion she is bloody good at her job.
I find this instructive.

Labour are losing the plot.

The hard left want to dump Peter Kyle MP . The most successful Labour politician in Hove

Momentum has taken over Brighton & Hove Labour Party. They forced the change in Leader

Meanwhile things are even more dismal nationally with Jezza sitting on the fence over Brexit.

He is incapable of leading Labour let alone become Prime Minister.
