Saddened and shocked, but it's done, so we need to look forward.

Truth is, Bloom has insisted on nothing but excellence since he took charge:

1. The best quality stadium at the appropriate size.
2. Training ground par excellence.
3. Whether you agree with his style and individual policy decisions, Barber is a supremely effective CEO.
4. Dan Ashworth as Technical Director has impeccably excellent credentials in helping transform England.

Is it really a surprise that he's not willing to settle for mediocrity in the EPL? I use that word very, very reluctantly because in no way has CH been mediocre. He has been fantastic and a superb human being that has brought the whole club success and respect within the football world. And it may be that scrabbling for survival is the realistic level for a club like ours. But it can't be a surprise to any of us that Tony Bloom wouldn't settle for that. He is a coldly, calculating gambler, a risk taker.

The positive from today's announcement is that Bloom is willing to fund a new manager and signings to support his style of play, whoever it may be. I would like to see the following core players added to:

Ryan
Duffy
Dunk
Bernardo
March
Bissouma

others still have a role to play.
