United condemned to Division 2.

First time I've ever watched the highlights.

Just astonished at home the crowd could constantly intervene on the field of play without fear or repercussion.

A world away from today.

Incredible watch and a brutal reminder what football was like in 70's and 80's......

If I remember correctly the following season was a year of thuggery and hooliganism from Man Utd supporters at virtually all the away grounds in League 2.

The only time I have ever enjoyed watching United was when they were in the second division under Tommy Docherty (I think), they were a joy to watch as they swept all before them with fantastic attacking football. I have no idea how I saw them though as I never went to a game and division 2 football wasn’t on the box in those days. Maybe it was on their return to the First Division
